Wie könnte es anders sein: Im Schillerjahr spricht ein Germanist mit Vorliebe zu diesem bedeutenden deutschen Dichter. So hat Prof. Dr. Hartmut Reinhardt, der das Fach Neuere deutsche Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität vertritt, für seine Abschiedsvorlesung am Dienstag, 26. Juli 2005 (10 Uhr c.t., Hörsaal 3) das Thema Schiller gewählt. Es lautet: "Schillers Konzept einer ästhetischen Kultur und seine politische Skepsis".
Hartmut Reinhardt ist seit 1984 Professor für Neuere deutsche Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität Trier, unterbrochen durch eine mehrjährige Tätigkeit an der Universität München. Geboren 1940 in Düsseldorf, studierte er Germanistik, Philosophie und Theaterwissenschaft an der Universität Köln und promovierte 1970. Sodann folgte eine Tätigkeit als Journalist, Gymnasiallehrer und Universitätsdozent. Er habilitierte sich 1982 an der Universität Würzburg.
