    About esmt
The European School of Management and Technology (esmt) was founded in October 2002 on the initiative of 25 eminent German companies and associations. The aim of the founders was to build an international business school in Germany - a school with global reach and a European soul, located in the very heart of Europe, in Berlin, at the gateway between East and West. As a business School, esmt offers executive education (since 2003) and an international MBA program (from January 2006). In addition to the Berlin campus the School operates campuses in Munich and in Schloss Gracht near Cologne.

Apart from developing leaders for the 21st century, esmt seeks to develop new knowledge in its interdisciplinary Competence Centers. These address, inter alia, current management challenges in the areas of leadership and governance, business in the enlarging Europe, managing technology-based enterprise, and bridging the public/private sector interface.

esmt is formally accredited by the Senate of Berlin as a private academic institution of higher education. Further information is available at http://www.esmt.org.

The founding corporations of esmt are Allianz Group, Axel Springer, BDA, BDI, BMW Group, Robert Bosch, DaimlerChrysler, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post World Net, Deutsche Telekom, EADS N,V,, E,ON, HVB Group, KPMG, Lufthansa, MAN Group, McKinsey & Company, Munich Re Group, RWE, SAP, Schering, Siemens, The Boston Consulting Group and ThyssenKrupp.
