PROF. DR. KRISTINA REISS, Lehrstuhl für Didaktik der Mathematik, hat einen Ruf auf eine W3-Professur für Didaktik der Mathematik und Informatik an der Universität München angenommen.
PROF. DR. FRIEDRICH PUKELSHEIM, Lehrstuhl für Stochastik und ihre Anwendungen, wird zusammen mit seinem Kollegen Bruno Simeone von der Universität "La Sapienza" (Rom) vom 18. bis zum 23. September 2005 in Erice auf Sizilien einen internationalen Workshop über "Mathematics and Demo-cracy: Voting systems and collective choice" leiten. Organisiert vom "Ettore Majorana - Foundation and Center for Scientific Culture" wird dieser Workshop Wissenschaftler aus den unterschiedlichsten Fachrichtungen zusammenbringen, die über quantitative Aspekte von Wahlsystemen forschen.
