Die W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) und das Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Informationstechnik FIT laden ein zum kostenlosen Workshop "Web Accessibility Best Practices Training". Die Veranstaltung für Web-Entwickler findet am 25. Oktober 2005 auf Schloss Birlinghoven in Sankt Augustin statt.
Hauptthemen der international besetzten Veranstaltung sind die Evaluation und Anpassung von Websites an Richtlinien zur Barrierefreiheit. Im Workshop werden vorhandene Hilfsmittel zur Evaluation erläutert und praktische Anleitungen zur Evaluation von Links, Tabellen, Formularen, Bildern und Scripts gegeben.
Präsentiert werden die Ergebnisse u.a. von Jon Dodd (Technischer Direktor bei Bunnyfoot Universality, England) und Andrew Arch (National Information Library Service - NILS, Australien).
Der Workshop findet auf Schloss Birlinghoven in Sankt Augustin bei Bonn von 9:00 bis 17:00 Uhr statt. Angesprochen sind vor allem Web-Entwickler/innen mit Grundkenntnissen in barrierefreiem Webdesign. Veranstaltungssprache ist Englisch. Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei.
