Am 3. November 2005 präsentieren ab 13.30 Uhr Studierende des Masterstudienganges Autonomous Systems der Fachhochschule (FH) Bonn-Rhein-Sieg ihre Abschlussarbeiten der Öffentlichkeit. Dies findet bei B-IT in Bonn statt: Görresstraße 13 (ehemalige NRW-Landesvertretung).
Die Stiftung B-IT (Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology) fördert seit 2002 diesen neuen internationalen Studiengang. Er wird in Kooperation der FH mit dem Fraunhofer Institut für Autonome Intelligente Systeme (AIS) in Sankt Augustin angeboten. Studierende erwerben Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten für den Entwurf und die Entwicklung autonomer technischer Systeme und Roboter.
Der Studiengang Autonomous Systems wird als Master by Research angeboten. Ein Großteil des Studiums nimmt dabei die Mitarbeit der Studierenden in Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekten ein, die im Fraunhofer Institut AIS durchgeführt werden. Aus diesem Spektrum werden sechs dieser Projekte im Kolloquium vorgestellt.
