Direktor Dr. Frank Warda verlässt das DIMDI zum 15. Dezember 2005, um sich neuen Aufgaben in der Softwareindustrie zu widmen. Der stellvertretende Direktor, Dr. Dietrich Kaiser, übernimmt kommissarisch die Institutsleitung.
Dr. Dietrich Kaiser ist bereits seit 1986 im DIMDI in der Abteilung Datenverarbeitung und Informationssysteme tätig, die er seit Februar 2001 auch leitet. Die Funktion als stellvertretender Direktor des Instituts hat er seit dem Ausscheiden von Dr. Werner Stöber im Februar 2005 inne.
Dr. Frank Warda wechselt ab Januar 2006 in den Vorstand der InterComponentWare AG (ICW), wo er sich mit Softwaresystemen für den Informationsaustausch zwischen Leistungserbringern im Gesundheitswesen beschäftigen wird.
