Am Rande des 9. Europäischen Kongresses Biotechnologie im Juli 1999 in Brüssel hat die Europäische Föderation Biotechnologie (EFB) zwei neue Sections ins Leben gerufen, die allen Biotechnologen in Europa zur Mitarbeit offen stehen:
· EFB Section on Agri-Biotechnology.
Chairman ist Dr. Peter Sijmons, Wageningen/NL.
Diese Section wird den 1st European Congress on Agri-Biotechnology auf dem Weltkongress BIOTECHNOLOGY 2000 vom 03.-08.09.2000 in Berlin ausrichten.
· EFB Section on Medical Biotechnology.
Chairman ist Prof. Manuel Carrondo, Oeiras/PT.
