Dekan der neuen Fakultät Mathematik und Informatik der FernUniversität in Hagen ist Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hans-Werner Six. Die neue Fakultät ist am 1. April 2006 aus den bisherigen drei Fachbereichen Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik, Informatik und Mathematik gebildet worden. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Luise Unger steht Prof. Six als Studiendekanin zur Seite, Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlev Hackstein als Prodekan.
