Im Auftrag des Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) hat die Abteilung Zukünftige Technologien Consulting der VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH die erste Ausgabe des "future technologies update" veröffentlicht. "future technologies update" berichtet aus der Technologiefrüherkennung für das BMBF.
Technologiefrüherkennung ist ein Instrument der Zukunftsprospektion, das neue Technologieansätze frühzeitig und systematisch identifiziert und aus einer technisch-wissenschaftlichen Perspektive bewertet. Abhängig von der spezifischen Ausgangssituation und den Verwertungspotenzialen in Deutschland werden daraus Handlungsoptionen für das BMBF abgeleitet.
"future technologies update" will die Ergebnisse der Technologiefrüherkennung einer breiteren Fachszene zugänglich machen. Er wird auf abgeschlossene Bewertungen (Technologieanalysen, Ergebnisbände) hinweisen, soll aber insbesondere die Ergebnisse von Vorbewertungen präsentieren, die ansonsten nicht veröffentlicht werden, in ihrer Informationsdichte aber sicherlich auch für Entscheidungsträger aus Industrie und Wissenschaft interessant sind.
Die erste Ausgabe berichtet über die Themen Kohlenstoff-Nanoröhren, Titandioxid Photokatalysatoren und die Energieversorgung mobiler Systeme. "future technologies update" wird in loser Folge ca. zweimal jährlich erscheinen und ist in gedruckter und digitaler Form erscheinen.
