Bildungsforscher folgt Rüdiger Wolfrum nach
Prof. Jürgen Baumert wird neuer Vizepräsident der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft. Der Senat der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft wählte Baumert anlässlich der Jahresversammlung der MPG in Frankfurt am Main zum Nachfolger von Prof. Rüdiger Wolfrum. Jürgen Baumert wird wie Rüdiger Wolfrum im Präsidium die geistes-, sozial- und humanwissenschaftliche Sektion vertreten. Diese umfasst 19 der 78 Max-Planck-Institute, unter anderem das Max-Planck-Institut für Bildungsforschung in Berlin, wo Baumert als Direktor tätig ist und das Center for Educational Research leitet. Rüdiger Wolfrum bleibt Direktor am Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches Recht und Völkerrecht in Heidelberg. Das Ehrenamt des MPG-Vizepräsidenten gibt er jedoch auf, weil ihn der Internationale Seegerichtshof in Hamburg zu seinem Präsidenten berufen hat. Der Erziehungswissenschaftler und Psychologe Baumert wird seine Nachfolge am 14. Juli antreten.
