Mit ihrer Qualität in Lehre und Forschung wird sie in Industrie und Wirtschaft stetig in Verbindung gebracht. Dass sie daneben auch für sportliche und öffentlich bereichernde Events gern angesprochen wird, zeigt nach der FIFA nun auch die Deutschlandtour 2006. An diesem Radsportereignis nehmen die weltbesten Radprofis aus 22 Teams teil.
Innerhalb des FIFA Workshops der WM-Nationaltrainer begrüßten der Rektor Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Krause und Kanzler Harald Wellbrock bereits im März dieses Jahres Oliver Bierhoff, Co-Manager der deutschen Nationalelf, vor der großen FIFA Pressekonferenz im exklusiven Erweiterungsbau der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf.
Zum Start der Deutschland Tour 2006 am 1. August in Düsseldorf steht die Fachhochschule Düsseldorf den Veranstaltern vom 28. Juli bis zum 2. August als Kooperationspartner für die Logistik und Infrastruktur zur Seite.
