Am Mittwoch den 20.09.2006 besuchten 10 slowakische Schülerinnen und Schüler der Handelsakademie Detva und 15 polnische Schüler einer Berufsschule für Elektronik in Krakow die Fachhochschule Jena. Nach einer allgemeinen Einführung zum Thema "Studieren in Deutschland" konnten sie sich in den Fachbereichen Betriebswirtschaft und Elektrotechnik/Informationstechnik über den Stand der studentischen Ausbildung informieren und Labore besichtigen.
Die Schüler sind im Rahmen eines EU-Leonardo-Projektes momentan in Jena, um sich über Berufsausbildung, Studium und Hochschule sowie das Leben in Deutschland zu informieren. Ein Praktikum in ansässigen Firmen ist ebenfalls eingeschlossen. Die Gruppe wird betreut vom "Internationalen Bund" in Jena.
