Lesung aus "The Stornoway Way" in der Teilbibliothek 4 der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg.
Der Schriftsteller Kevin MacNeil stammt von der Isle of Lewis in Schottland. Er hat mehrere Gedichtbände veröffentlicht, darunter auch die 1998 erschienene Sammlung "Love and Zen in the Outer Hebrides". Seine Gedichte wurden in mehr als zehn Sprachen übersetzt. Er hat zudem für das Radio, für Fernsehen und Film Texte verfasst. Sein erster Roman "The Stornoway Way" erschien 2005 in Großbritannien.
Für seine Werke erhielt MacNeil mehrere Auszeichnungen, unter anderem im Jahr 2000 den Tivoli Europa Giovani International Poetry Prize. Derzeit ist er als Stipendiat der Villa Concordia in Bamberg.
Am 17. Januar liest Kevin MacNeil um 20 Uhr in der Teilbibliothek 4 der Universität Bamberg, Heumarkt 2.
