The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) is offering scientists funding to support novel initiatives that promote public communication in the life sciences. Scientists can apply for grants of up to € 2,000 to help run a small science and society project or to fund the start-up phase of a larger-scale initiative.
There are no restrictions as to the media or tools researchers can use to reach their target audience, but the main motivation should be to make science and/or scientists more accessible to other sectors of society. Projects will be judged in particular for the novelty of their approach. Applicants have to be life scientists working in Europe and the activity or project must take place in Europe. There is no deadline for applications.
