Der Bericht der European University Association (EUA) "Trends V" hat gezeigt, dass Deutschland unter anderem bei der Anwendung des Kreditpunktesystems ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) hinter anderen Ländern zurückliegt. Um dies zu verbessern, hat die HRK Handreichungen zum Umgang mit ECTS vorgelegt.
