Internationale Frauenuniversität (ifu) zu Gast in Göttingen
25 Teilnehmerinnen der ifu Hannover besuchen Georg-August-Universität
(ukg) 25 Teilnehmerinnen der Internationalen Frauenuniversität, die im Rahmen der EXPO in Hannover stattfindet, besuchen von Montag, 28. August bis Freitag, 01. September 2000 die Universität Göttingen. Der Schwerpunkt des Besuches ist der Bereich Humanmedizin. Die 25 Frauen stammen aus Pakistan, Äthiopien, Nigeria, Kenia, Kolumbien, Ungarn, Sri Lanka, der Russischen Föderation, Georgien, Israel, Aserbaidschan, Georgien, Bulgarien, Turkmenistan, dem Sudan und Deutschland. Der Bereich Humanmedizin hat für die Gäste ein reichhaltiges Besuchsprogramm vorgesehen, das unter anderem Vorlesungen und Seminare auf Englisch sowie kulturelle Highlights umfasst.
Im Mittelpunkt stehen medizinisch orientierte Vorlesungen und Seminare, wie zum Beispiel: Fruchtbarkeitsstörungen, Brustkrebs, Pränatale Diagnostik, Genomanalyse, Geruchswahrnehmung, Ethik in der Medizin, Maus-Modelle für menschliche Krankheiten und Chronische Schmerzen. Ergänzt wird das Programm durch Themen wie die Rolle der Frau in den Naturwissenschaften, Mikroorganismen und Umwelt sowie transgene Pflanzen. Als kulturelles Besuchsprogramm sind vorgesehen: Stadtführung Göttingen, Ausstellung Gutenberg und seine Wirkung, Sammlung Kirchhoff im Universitätsklinikum und Besuch des Expo-Projektes "Wasserspuren" in Hann. Münden.
