Workshop zu Entwicklungslinien im Mobilfunk
Am kommenden 9. Mai findet von 9.30 bis 15.30 Uhr in der Fachhochschule Jena ein Workshop zum Thema WiMAX und LTE statt.
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) und LTE (Long Term Evolution) sind neue Entwicklungslinien im Mobilfunk. Beide Funksysteme haben eine höhere Leistungsfähigkeit als der bekannte UMTS-Standard, wobei WiMAX in Konkurrenz zu UMTS steht und LTE als Nachfolgesystem auf dessen Technologie aufbaut.
Der Workshop wird von der Fachgruppe Systemarchitektur und Traffic Engineering der Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft (ITG) organisiert und ist öffentlich. Alle Interessenten sind herzlich eingeladen.
