Wolfgang Schneider, Professor für Entwicklungspsychologie und Pädagogische Psychologie und derzeit auch Vizepräsident der Universität Würzburg, wurde von der International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD) zu ihrem nächsten Präsidenten gewählt. Die ISSBD ist die weltweit größte Vereinigung entwicklungspsychologisch arbeitender Verhaltensforscher, deren Mitglieder sich aus mehr als 60 Ländern rekrutieren. Auf der nächsten Tagung der ISSBD, die Schneider vom 13. bis 17. Juli 2008 im Würzburger Congress Centrum ausrichtet, wird er für die Zeit von 2008 bis 2010 zum President-Elect bestellt. Von 2010 bis 2014 wird er dann das Präsidentenamt übernehmen.
