3rd International Symposium on Emerging and Industrial DLP®- Applications

Daniela Reuter Pressestelle
Optence e.V. - Kompetenznetz Optische Technologien Hessen/Rheinland-Pfalz

OpSys Project Consulting, the photonics network Optence e.V. and the Photonik Zentrum Hessen in Wetzlar AG are organizing the event to be held in Frankfurt/Main, Germany on November 7, 2008

Texas Instruments' DLP® technology is an all-digital display technology with the Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) at its heart, a semiconductor-based "light switch" array of thousands of individually addressable, or tiltable, mirror-pixels. With more than 16 million units shipped since 1996, the DLP chip has proven its reliability and robustness and is the only mass produced spatial light modulator capable of addressing a broad spectrum of Visible, IR and UV wavelengths.
The DLP® Discovery? products are DLP-based developer's kits that are capable of extremely fast switching speeds, high resolution performance and offer developers a flexible platform to design products using the proven reliability of DLP technology.
The unique properties of the DLP technology enable products and applications in many different markets. Medical visualization systems offer accurate and non-invasive opportunities to look into the body or assist during medical treatments. Direct imaging systems enable throughput performance improvements in high precision PCB manufacturing. 3D surface measurements with structured lighting facilitate precise and real-time measurements for many industries. Material science and analysis use hyper-spectroscopy to identify chemical compositions, and detect impurities.
The annual International Symposium on Emerging and Industrial DLP® Applications is organized by OpSys Project Consulting, Optence e.V. and Photonik Zentrum Hessen in Wetzlar AG. The symposium will address technical and application aspects of industrial DLP® systems, including discussions on light sources, optical challenges and electronics solutions. Supported by the sponsors Texas Instruments Inc. (DLP® Products), Visitech AS and In-Vision Digital Imaging GmbH and accompanied by a small comprehensive industrial exhibition, the symposium is the ideal place to gather background information on industrial DLP® microdisplay systems and to meet with the industry and solution providers.

About Optence e.V. - Optics in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate
Optence http://www.optence.de brings together users of optical technologies and suppliers from industry and research. The aim is to create efficient structures of communications and shorten the way from idea to product.
For example, central issues are worked out in teams in order to generate innovation of applications or products and to realise these in regional cooperations. Application-related problems are discussed and a training concept for the future is developed.
Optence offers more above that: services like aid programme consulting, technical workshops and public relations in order to influence the image of optical technologies positively.

About Photonik Zentrum Hessen in Wetzlar AG
Photonik Zentrum Hessen in Wetzlar AG (PZH), Germany, http://www.pzh-wetzlar.de was founded in 2005 as a centre for highly efficient industrial and institutional network co-operations in the fields of optics, optoelectronics, sensor technology and precision mechanics. Cornerstones of the business activities are NanoImprint-Technology, optical construction monitoring and custom development projects. In addition PZH also organizes scientific conferences - presenting the technological focal points in regional optical research and industry, intensifying the scientific dialogue, and strengthening optical technologies through entrepreneurial and scientific collaboration - and carries them out in collaboration with Optence e.V.
For further information please contact Tanja Maywald at +49 6441 210 43-25 or e-mail to tanja.maywald@pzh-wetzlar.de.

    Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
    Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

    Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

    Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

    Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
