Antrittsvorlesung an der Fachhochschule Trier - Professor Dr.- Ing. Klaus Peter Koch zum Thema 'Neuroprothesen: Vom Blasenschrittmacher zum Retinaimplantat'
Seit September lehrt Koch in der Fachrichtung Elektrotechnik an der Fachhochschule Trier die Gebiete Elektrische Messtechnik, Angewandte Elektrotechnik sowie Elektrodiagnostik.
Zuvor war er unter anderem Professor an der Hochschule Darmstadt und Leiter der Arbeitsgruppe Neuroprothetik am Fraunhofer Institut in St. Ingbert.
Seine Forschungsaktivitäten beziehen sich auf die Gebiete der intraoperativen Elektrodiagnostik und der Entwicklung aktiver Implantate. Vereinfacht ausgedrückt handelt es sich dabei um die Bereiche innerhalb der Medizintechnik, welche mit elektrischen Aktivitäten des Körpers zu tun haben.
Die Antrittsvorlesung ist öffentlich und findet am Donnerstag, 29. Januar um 18 Uhr im Physik-Hörsaal C10 der Fachhochschule am Schneideshof in Trier statt.
