Algorithmen, Datenstrukturen, formale Sprachen:
Vom 15. - 17. Februar diskutieren ca. 120 Wissenschaftler die in 45 Vorträgen vorgestellten neuesten Forschungsergebnisse auf den Gebieten Algorithmen und Datenstrukturen, Formale Sprachen und Automaten, Berechenbarkeit und Komplexität, Logik in der Informatik sowie Parallele und Verteilte Systeme.
Gastgeber des 18. Internationalen Symposiums zu Theoretischen Aspekten der Informatik (STACS) ist die Fakultät Informatik der Technischen Universität Dresden. Die STACS-Symposien werden jährlich im Wechsel in Deutschland und in Frankreich durchgeführt und haben sich zu einem der führenden wissenschaftlichen Foren der Theoretischen Informatik in Europa entwickelt.
