Die Mitgliederversammlung der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK) hat am 27. Januar in Bonn die Bucerius Law School (BLS) in Hamburg einstimmig aufgenommen. Sie erfüllt alle Kriterien, die die HRK an die Aufnahme privater Hochschulen knüpft.
Die BLS wurde im Jahr 2000 als private Hochschule gegründet, die sich ausschließlich der Juristenausbildung widmet. Sie hat derzeit rund 570 Studierende und verfügt über Promotions- und Habilitationsrecht.
Mit der BLS hat die HRK derzeit 258 Mitgliedshochschulen. In ihnen sind etwa 98 Prozent aller Studierenden immatrikuliert.
