Auszeichnung auf der CeBIT 2009 für die persönliche und fachliche Lebensleistung
Darmstadt, 3.3.2009. Prof. José Luis Encarnação, emeritierter Professor für Graphisch-Interaktive System an der TU Darmstadt, erhält während der CeBIT 2009 den von BiTKOM und Fokus gesponserten Preis "Convergators Award for Life Achievement".
Damit wird die persönliche, berufliche und fachliche Lebensleistung für die Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik, insbesondere für die Entwicklung und Durchsetzung der Graphischen Datenverarbeitung als Disziplin und Basistechnologie der neuen Medien-, Visualisierungs- und Simulationstechnologien gewürdigt.
Die Verleihung findet am Mittwoch, den 4. März 2009, in Hannover statt. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. mult., Dr. e.h., Hon. Prof. mult. José Luis Encarnação, geboren in Portugal, ist seit 1975 Professor für Informatik an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt.
