Als Gast des Fachbereichs Mathematik hält im Rahmen der Vortragsreihe "Angewandte Numerik und Simulation" Prof. Dr. Rainald Löhner von der George Mason University in Fairfax/USA einen Vortrag über "Recent Developments in Computational Fluid Dynamics using Unstructured Grids".
Der Vortrag des amerikanischen Gastes findet am kommenden Donnerstag (15.03.2001) um 14:15 Uhr im Hörsaal E29 des Mathematikgebäudes auf dem Campus Nord statt.
Prof. Löhner ist weltweit anerkannter Experte auf dem Gebiet der numerischen Strömungssimulation auf Supercomputern. Die Spanne seiner Aktivitäten reicht von Simulationen einer "Explosion im World Trade Center" über Darstellungen des "Verhaltens eines Airbags" bis hin zu Berechnung von "Medizinischen Eingriffen bei Aneurysmen".
