Die HNO-Klinik der Universität Würzburg leitet gemeinsam mit Hörimplantat-Zentren in Wien, Antwerpen und Warschau das erste internationale Kompetenz-Netzwerk Hearring. Diesem Verbund gehören 17 hoch spezialisierte Kliniken aus fünf Kontinenten an. Sein Ziel ist es, Patienten auf höchstem Niveau mit Hörimplantaten zu versorgen. Forschungsprojekte und die Erstellung apparativer und operativer Standards sowie einheitlicher Rehabilitationsprogramme sind ebenso Teil des Netzwerkes wie eine abgestimmte Aus- und Fortbildung.
