Fatima Kastner, Mitarbeiterin im Hamburger Institut für Sozialforschung (HIS) erhält für ihr Manuskript "Universalistische Normen und globaler Wahrheits- und Versöhnungsdiskurs" einen der fünf Preise der Deutschen Sektion der Vereinigung für Rechts- und Sozialphilosophie (IVR). Der Preis ist mit der Einladung verbunden, den Text auf dem Weltkongreß der IVR in Peking im September 2009 vorzustellen.
Dr. Fatima Kastner studierte Rechtswissenschaften, Philosophie und Politologie an der Johann-Wolfgang- Goethe Universität, Frankfurt/Main; London School of Economics und Collège International de Philosophie, Paris. Seit Oktober 2003 ist sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Arbeitsbereich "Nation und Gesellschaft" des HIS. Kastner befasst sich u.a. mit Theoretische Rechtssoziologie, Theorie der Weltgesellschaft, "Transitional Justice" und Soziologie der Menschenrechte. Aktuell forscht sie an einem Projekt "Recht und Gesellschaft in Transition: Zur normativen Integration der Weltgesellschaft".
