Zu einem Tag der offenen Tür lädt die Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock am Sonntag, den 22. April 2001, ein. Zwischen 11.00 Uhr und 18.00 Uhr besteht die Möglichkeit, das neue Gebäude Beim St.-Katharinenstift 8 in Augenschein zu nehmen. Der Katharinensaal mit Bühne, der Kammermusik- und Orgelsaal sowie zahlreiche Räume sind für Besichtigungen geöffnet. Um 12.00 Uhr heißt es: "Der versteckte Klang - Das Katharinenkloster entdecken". Hier wird auf originelle Weise durch das Kloster geführt. Kleine Darbietungen wie Schattentheater und Comic-Theater stehen an diesem Tag ebenso auf dem Programm wie Öffentliche Meisterklassen und Informationsgespräche mit Professoren.
