Auf Einladung der Jungen Europäischen Föderalisten Sachsen-Anhalt (JEF) wird der Vize-Präsident des Europäischen Parlaments und Europaparlamentarier Rainer Wieland, MdEP, am Freitag, den 9. Oktober 2009, der Hochschule Harz (FH) in Halberstadt einen Besuch abstatten. Die Veranstaltung findet von 17:30 bis 18:30 Uhr im großen Hörsaal (N 113) am Fachbereich Verwaltungswissenschaften statt.
Als Mitglied der Europa-Union inspirierte er vor einem Jahr acht Halberstädter Studierende zur Gründung des Landesverbands der JEF für europapolitische Bildungsarbeit in Sachsen-Anhalt. Mit seinem Gastvortrag zum Thema "Europa nach Irland - vor Lissabon?" informiert er über die aktuelle politische Lage des Lissabon-Vertrags und steht in einer anschließenden Diskussionsrunde Frage und Antwort.
