Die Evangelische Studierendengemeinde und die Universität Dortmund veranstalten vom 5. bis 6. Mai das erste Dortmunder Gospel- und Jazzchorfestival. Neben einigen Chören aus dem Umfeld der Dortmunder Universität werden bundesweit bekannte Interpreten zu hören sein.
Der Gospel-Chor "Geistreich" und "Good Spell" aus Iserlohn singen am Samstag. Höhepunkt dieses Abends ist der Auftritt des Sängers David Thomas, der sich als Solist beim Starlight Express einen Namen gemacht hat. Das Programm beginnt um 18 Uhr.
Das Programm am Sonntag gestalten - ab 17 Uhr - "Be flat", ein Jazzchor der Universität, die a-capella-Formation "Da capo". Attraktion dieses Abends ist das Gesangsquartett "Mabybop" aus Hannover. Veranstaltungsort ist an beiden Tagen die Christuskirche in der Feldherrnstraße 11.
