Die Biologische Bundesanstalt für Land- und Forstwirtschaft (BBA) in Braunschweig hat am 9. August 2001 die Zulassung des Pflanzenschutzmittels "Brestan flüssig" mit dem Wirkstoff Triphenylzinn widerrufen. Das Mittel wird im Kartoffelbau gegen die Kraut- und Knollenfäule eingesetzt.
Anlass des Widerrufs sind neue wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse, die die Zulassungsinhaberin vor wenigen Tagen der BBA vorgelegt hat. Es besteht der begründete Verdacht, das "Brestan flüssig" unvertretbare Auswirkungen auf im Wasser lebende Organismen hat.
Damit ist der Verkauf und die Anwendung dieses Mittels ab sofort nicht mehr erlaubt. (BBA)
