Die Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung gewährt Professor Dr. Hyeok Joon Rho aus Südkorea ein Forschungsstipendium. Hyeok Joon Rho wird ab 1. September 2010 für die Dauer von neun Monaten am Institut für Unternehmens- und Kapitalmarktrecht (IUKR) der Bucerius Law School forschen. Betreut wird der Gastwissenschaftler von Professor Dr. Rüdiger Veil, Direktor des IUKR und Inhaber des Alfried Krupp-Lehrstuhls für Bürgerliches Recht, Deutsches und Internationales Unternehmens- und Wirtschaftsrecht an der Bucerius Law School.
Hyeok Joon Rho, geboren 1970, ist seit April 2009 Associate Professor an der Seoul National University School of Law. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Unternehmensrecht, insbesondere Mergers & Acquisitions, Regulierung und vergleichende Unternehmensführung. Seine juristische Ausbildung absolvierte er an der Seoul National University, wo er 1994 einen LL.B., 1998 einen LL.M. und 2002 den Ph.D. verliehen bekam. Im Jahr 2005 erhielt er einen LL.M. an der Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago. Hyeok Joon Rho kann auf Forschungsaufenthalte u.a. an der London School of Economics and Political Science (2005), der Columbia Law School (2006) und der Harvard Law School (2006/2007) zurückblicken.
