Im Rahmen dieses ersten wissenschaftlichen EHEC-HUS-Symposiums diskutieren international renommierte Experten Grundlagen und Diagnostik von EHEC-Infektionen sowie die verschiedenen Optionen zur Therapie eines EHEC-assoziierten HUS, die von der Plasmapherese über die Antikörpertherapie mit Eculizumab, der Antibiose bis zur extrakorporalen Immunadsorption reichen. Darüber hinaus werden bereits erste Auswertungen des klinischen EHEC-HUS-Registers der DGfN vorgestellt.
