Dr. rer. nat. Odej Kao, Institut für Informatik, hat einen Ruf auf die C3-Professur "Verteilte Systeme" an der Universität Paderborn, Fachbereich Mathematik und Informatik, erhalten.
Dr. Kao wurde 1971 in Skopje in Mazedonien geboren, kam 1991 zum Deutschkurs nach Clausthal-Zellerfeld, studierte in Rekordzeit Mathematik, Informatik und Elektrische Informationstechnik (Diplom 1995 mit Auszeichnung als bester ausländischer Absolvent), promovierte 1997 (New Impulse Noise Cleaning Methods for Monochrome and Colour Image) bei Prof. Dr. G.R. Joubert am Institut für Informatik und arbeitet seitdem in der Forschungsgruppe Multimedia.
