Mobile Ad-hoc-Netzwerke
1. Deutscher Workshop zum Thema in Ulm
Am 25. und 26. März 2002 findet an der Universität Ulm der 1. Deutsche Workshop zum Thema Mobile Ad-hoc-Netzwerke statt. Mobile Ad-hoc-Netzwerke sind eines der aktuellsten Forschungsgebiete in der Informatik. Drahtlose portable Computer, Personal Digital Assistants und Handys verbinden sich spontan zu Netzwerken, um gemeinsam Aufgaben zu erledigen oder zu unterstützen.
Der erstmals speziell zu dieser Thematik stattfindende deutschsprachiger Workshop umfaßt das gesamte Spektrum des Forschungsfeldes. Als Hauptsprecher konnte mit Charles Perkins der Pionier des mobilen Internets gewonnen werden. Die Veranstaltung, zu der sich mehr als 50 Wissenschaftler angemeldet haben, wird von der Gesellschaft für Informatik und der Universität Ulm durchgeführt. Verantwortlich sind Prof. Dr. Michael Weber, Leiter der Abteilung Medieninformatik der Universität Ulm, und sein Mitarbeiter Dipl.-Inf. Frank Kargl.
