Erstes Max-Planck-Institut in den neuen Ländern begeht zehnjähriges Jubiläum / Festveranstaltung und Symposium über Nanostrukturphysik
Das erste Max-Planck-Institut in den neuen Bundesländern, das Max-Planck-Institut für Mikrostrukturphysik (MPI-MSP) in Halle, begeht am Freitag, dem 19. April 2002, feierlich sein zehnjähriges Bestehen. Das Institut wurde am 1. Januar 1992 - einer Empfehlung des Wissenschaftsrats zum früheren Akademieinstitut für Festkörperphysik und Elektronenmikroskopie folgend - gegründet und hat sich zu einem Zentrum weltweit anerkannter Spitzenforschung im Bereich Festkörperphysik und Materialwissenschaften entwickelt.
