Leiter des Fraunhofer-Anwendungszentrums in Personalunion jetzt auch Professor an der Technischen Universität Cottbus
Dr.-Ing. Uwe Meinberg, Jahrgang 1957, Leiter des Fraunhofer-Anwendungszentrums für Logistiksystemplanung und Informationssysteme, einer Außenstelle des Dortmunder Fraunhofer-Instituts für Materialfluss und Logistik IML, ist jetzt auch Professor an der Technischen Universität Cottbus. Der gebürtige Dortmunder, der an der Universität Dortmund Elektrotechnik studierte, promovierte dort mit Auszeichnung zum Dr.-Ing. während seiner Tätigkeit am Fraunhofer IML und gehört damit zur sogenannten Dortmunder Logistik-Schule.
Professor Meinberg war nach wissenschaftlicher Tätigkeit am Fraunhofer IML von 1983 bis 1996, zuletzt als Hauptabteilungsleiter "Software und Systeme", Geschäftsführer der Planar Gesellschaft für technische Softwaresysteme, Dortmund, heute eine Gesellschaft des PSI-Konzerns.
In seiner Doppelfunktion bei Fraunhofer und an der Universität Cottbus wird Professor Uwe Meinberg den Wissenstransfer zwischen den Institutionen und den Transfer in die regionale Wirtschaft verstärken.(RFN)
