Wer anderen etwas beibringen will, sollte selbst up to date bleiben. Das betrifft beispielsweise auch Lehrkräfte in der Mathematik und den Naturwissenschaften. Ihre regelmäßige Weiterbildung liegt den Koordinatoren des großen EU-Projekts „Mathematics and science for life!“ (mascil) am Herzen. Sie laden deshalb zu einer Konferenz an der Universität Duisburg-Essen (UDE) ein, zusammen mit dem Deutschen Zentrum für Lehrerbildung Mathematik (DZLM) und dem Lehrerfortbildungsprojekt Teachers Teaching with Technology (T3).
„Educating the educators”, so der sprechende Titel der „Conference on international approaches to scaling up professional development in maths and science education“ am 15. und 16. Dezember im Essener Glaspavillon. Praktiker aus der Lehrerfortbildung treffen mit Forschern zusammen, um wirkungsvolle Weiterbildungskonzepte noch bekannter zu machen.
Mehr forschendes und problemorientiertes Lernen: Ziel des EU-Projekts und der Konferenz ist es, eine andere Lernkultur zu fördern und zu verstärken. Dabei stehen nicht nur die Lehrkräfte im Fokus, sondern auch jene, die sie weiterbilden. Es gibt vier Themenstränge, darunter u.a. Blended Learning-Konzepte, E-Learning-Unterstützung sowie professionelle Lerngemeinschaften.
