Frankfurt/Main, 22 October 2015 – The General Assembly of the Research Association for Combustion Engines - FVV (re-)elected at their Annual Meeting in Würzburg new Chairmen of the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Planning Groups.
Dr Tobias Lösche-ter Horst and Dr Dirk Goldschmidt assume the chairmenship of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Research Association
The delegates from the FVV member companies elected Dr Tobias Lösche-ter Horst, Head of Group Research Powertrain at Volkswagen Group, the new Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Committee. Dr Lösche-ter Horst was previously Chairman of the Engines Planning Group 2 "Thermodynamics" and can look back on many years of FVV experience.
Dr Dirk Goldschmidt, Fossil Power Generation – Power and Gas Division at Siemens AG, also active for years in the Research Association as planning group leader for turbo machinery, was re-elected as Deputy Chairman.
FVV honours Dr Christoph Teetz
The FVV members expressed their deep gratitude to Dr Christoph Teetz, Vice President Research & Technology at Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG for seventeen years of outstanding commitment for the Research Association. “Under the leadership of Christoph Teetz more than 500 important research projects, some of them ground-breaking and all of high value for the future of the internal combustion engine in its numerous applications, have been realised to the benefit of industry. This also represents a 160 million euro investment of Industrial Collective Research (IGF) funds. His great technical knowledge and his many years of management experience in the engine industry have shaped the work of the Research Association. For this we are extremely grateful to Dr Teetz and deeply attached" acknowledged Dietmar Goericke, Managing Director of the FVV, the long-standing and highly dedicated personal commitment of the outgoing Chairman.
FVV Planning Groups under experienced leadership
Dr Bodo Durst, General Manager in the Petrol Engine Powertrain Division of BMW Group, will take over from Dr Lösche-ter Horst the management of the FVV Engines Planning Group 2 and completes the experienced chairpersons team:
