Gothenburg-Award goes to Peter Hennicke, Beate Weber-Schuerholz and Jeremy Leggett

    Ceremony on 19 November, broadcasted live via internet

    Tomorrow, Swedens Minister for Energy, Ibrahim Baylan will present the award winners of "The Gothenburg Award for Sustainable Development": Professor Peter Hennicke, former president of the Wuppertal Institute, the former mayor of the town of Heidelberg, Beate Weber-Schuerholz, both for their commitment in the field of energy efficiency, and to Dr Jeremy Leggett, a British solar energy entrepreneur, author and environmental activist.
    Peter Hennicke has been called Germany's "bishop" within energy efficiency and has been a pioneer of the energy transition, die Energiewende.     The ceremony on 19 November will follow the seminar "Accelerating the Energy Transition - Solar and Efficiency", starting at 13:30. Both will be broadcasted live via internet, see the Gothenburg Award website: http://www.gothenburgaward.com/en/
