In examination year 2014, 40% of the higher education graduates obtained their degrees within the standard period of study. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, on the whole, 410,500 students completed successfully a first/second course of studies or a consecutive Master's course in 2014.
In examination year 2014, students obtained 46% of the Bachelor's degrees and 34% of the Master's degrees within the standard period of study. Taking the standard period plus two semesters, the proportions amounted to 85% for Bachelor's and 87% for Master's degrees.
