Das Leibniz-Institut für Pflanzenbiochemie (IPB) in Halle an der Saale lädt ein zum 2. Leibniz Plant Biochemistry Symposium.
Die internationale Fachtagung wird am 23. und 24. Juni 2016 im IPB am Weinberg 3 stattfinden. Für das exklusive Programm konnten hochkarätige Wissenschaftler aus Frankreich, Australien, den USA und Großbritannien gewonnen werden. Im Mittelpunkt stehen in diesem Jahr Themen rund um den Pflanzenstress, allem voran pflanzliche Immunität und Abwehrstrategien gegen Krankheitserreger, aber auch Schutzmechanismen vor abiotischem Stress, wie Übersalzung und Sauerstoffmangel.
Das Leibniz Plant Biochemistry Symposium soll sich als kleine, internationale und außergewöhnliche Expertentagung im mitteldeutschen Raum etablieren und von hier aus internationale Strahlkraft entwickeln. Bereits jetzt, zum zweiten Meeting dieser Art, werden über 100 Interessenten aus Wissenschaft und Industrie erwartet.
