Anmeldung zum Early-Bird-Tarif bis 31. Juli 2016 möglich
Die Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) und das Forschungszentrum L3S richten vom 5. bis 9. September 2016 unter dem Titel „Overcoming the Limits of Digital Archives“ die 20th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL) in Hannover aus. Die englischsprachige Konferenz bietet ein umfangreiches Programm zu aktuellen und zukünftigen Entwicklungen im Bereich Digitale Bibliothek und Archive sowie deren Anwendungen. Erwartet werden 300 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer aus der ganzen Welt.
Workshop zu Videos in der Wissenschaftskommunikation
Der halbtägige Workshop „Videos in digital libraries: What’s in it for libraries, publishers and scientists?“ auf der TPDL hat das Ziel, eine Diskussion zum Potenzial von Videos in der Wissenschaftskommunikation zu führen. Themen wie die Produktion, Verbreitung und Nutzung wissenschaftlicher Videos stehen dabei genauso im Fokus wie Best-Practice-Beispiele aus verschiedenen Forschungsgebieten.
Der Workshop findet am 8. September 2016 von 13.30 bis 18 Uhr statt und richtet sich an Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Wissenschaft, Forschung, Verlagen, Bibliotheken, Marketing und Wissenschaftskommunikation. Die TIB organisiert den Workshop gemeinsam mit der Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin (ZLB) und dem CERN.
