Am Mittwoch, dem 5. Oktober 2016, wird der Minister für Landwirtschaft, Umwelt und Verbraucherschutz von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Dr. Till Backhaus, im Rahmen einer Mitarbeiterversammlung Prof. Klaus Wimmers zum neuen Vorstand des Leibniz-Instituts für Nutztierbiologie (FBN) ernennen.
Der Molekularbiologe und Veterinärmediziner leitet das Institut bereits seit Juli vergangenen Jahres kommissarisch, nachdem Prof. Manfred Schwerin nach zwölf Jahren an der Spitze des größten Nutztierforschungsinstituts in Deutschland in den Ruhestand verabschiedet worden ist. Die Vertreter der Medien sind recht herzlich zu der Veranstaltung eingeladen.
