Anmeldung zum Early-Bird-Tarif bis 31. März 2017 möglich
HANNOVER, 2. Februar 2017 – Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer können sich ab sofort für die 2nd Conference on Non-Textual Information „Software and Services for Science (S3)“ anmelden. Noch bis zum 31. März 2017 gilt der ermäßigte Early-Bird-Tarif.
Die englischsprachige Konferenz beschäftigt sich unter dem Titel „Software and Services for Science (S3)” schwerpunktmäßig mit den Themen Nachhaltigkeit und Referenzierung von wissenschaftlicher Software, Trends in der Programmierpraxis, dem Austausch von Software sowie rechtlichen Aspekten. Die Veranstaltung bietet ein Forum für den Austausch zwischen Infrastruktureinrichtungen und Nutzerinnen sowie Nutzern zu den Anforderungen, Erwartungen und Bedürfnissen an wissenschaftliche Software in der Praxis.
Die Keynote „Incentives and rewards in scientific software communities“ hält Edzer Pebesma (Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, Münster). Das Programm besteht daneben aus Sessions zu „Infrastructure, Strategy and General Conditions“, „Persistent Software Referencing“, „Impact and Sustainability through Accessible, Reusable and Open Software“ und „Decentralized protocols and apps in science“.
Die TIB richtet die 2nd Conference on Non-Textual Information gemeinsam mit ihren Partnern ZB MED – Informationszentrum Lebenswissenschaften und ZBW – Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft aus. Das Forschungszentrum L3S unterstützt die Konferenz im Bereich Programmplanung.
