Façade Expertise for International Projects – Curtain Wall Engineering
The Augsburg University of Applied Sciences will offer a new continuing education programme “Curtain Wall Engineering” for the first time in May and June this year. The programme will convey compact technical knowledge for planning and supervising façade projects.
This English-language certificate course is designed for architects active abroad or in projects in which English is spoken. In two compact weeks spaced one month apart, renowned instructors and industry experts inform participants about current developments in façade engineering and impart expert knowledge on how to manage an international team in this area. Alongside the compact courses, participants deepen their knowledge with a comprehensive project. Company tours, laboratory work and a late-night lecture complete the continuing education programme. The course is managed by Prof. Dr. Timo Schmidt, Professor of Façade Technology, and co-ordinated by Dipl.-Ing. Katrin Freitag.
The certificate course “Curtain Wall Engineering” expands the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences’ prestigious continuing education programme on façades. The course was first presented at 18 January 2017 at the BAU 2017, the leading world fair for architecture, materials and systems that takes place in Munich. If you are interested, you can register for the continuing education course until 22 April 2017 at http://www.cwe-augsburg.de.
The block weeks in the certificate course are 22 – 27 May 2017 and 26 – 30 June 2017 at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. You can find more information on the course at http://www.cwe-augsburg.de.
