From April 2017, the Berlin School of Economics and Law (BSEL) offers a free, four-month German language course (level B1). Refugees may also sign up for selected courses within the guest studentship program. The university hosts a series of information sessions on March 8th, 15th, 22nd and 27th 2017 and informs about the courses open for refugees and registration formalities.
Refugees living in Berlin may attend those courses which are taught in German and English free of charge and without having already received an acceptance letter for a normal university place. For extensive, individual advice, the open consultations run by the Central Student Advisory Service can be used at both, the university campus in the city part of Schöneberg as well as in Lichtenberg. The German Academic Exchange Service financially supports the JUST-program.
