Cluster of Excellence MERGE is hosting an international Summer School on Lightweight Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology from June 26 till June 29, 2017 – registration is open now
An extensive academic program is laid out for the participants of the Summer School “Merge Technologies for Automotive Applications”: Over the time of four days full of lectures and customized workshops led by the Cluster’s scientists students, researchers, and all interested parties will get to know the state of the art in lightweight automotive engineering. They will provide a closer look at promising materials and technologies for component manufacturing as well as recent research results concerning weight reduction in vehicles. A guided tour of the MERGE Technology Centre and the Gläserne Manufaktur of Volkswagen in Dresden are also part of the exciting agenda.
Many international students, mainly from India, have already registered. Additional applications from all over the world are welcome: not only students with majors in technology or engineering, but also PhD students, professors, entrepreneurs, or professionals can register until June 19, 2017 – or even last minute. The registration fee of EUR 300 will have to be paid on site on the first day of the event.
