Im Wintersemester 2003/2004 bietet die Hochschule der Medien (HdM) im Rahmen des Studium generale eine Vorlesungsreihe über "Kinder und Medien" an. Jeden Mittwoch von 18 bis 20 Uhr finden am Standort Nobelstraße der HdM, 70569 Stuttgart, in Raum 056 Veranstaltungen statt. Den Anfang macht Professor Dr. Horst Heidtmann, geschäftsführender Leiter des Instituts für angewandte Kindermedienforschung (IfaK) der HdM, am 8. Oktober 2003. Er spricht über "Kindermedien: Gefährlicher Dschungel oder Garten Eden". Am 15. Oktober geht es um Musik, Sprache und Bild. Professor Dr. Manfred Nagl, Studiengang Bibliotheks- und Medienmanagement, stellt frühe Medienverbundsysteme (ab 1900) für Kinder vor.
Weitere Themen bis Januar 2004 sind unter anderem "Kinder und Werbung", "Gewalt in den Medien" oder Entwicklungen im Märchenfilm. Die Vorträge dauern jeweils 60 bis 90 Minuten; anschließend besteht Gelegenheit zur Diskussion.
