Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Zielke, Professor für Informatik / Computer Science Section am Fachbereich Maschinenbau und Verfahrenstechnik der Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD) ist Gründungsmitglied des Arbeitsausschusses Künstliche Intelligenz im Deutschen Institut für Normung e.V. (DIN). Der Arbeitsausschuss (NA 043-01-42 AA) wurde 2018 in Berlin gegründet, um als autorisiertes nationales Gremium bei der ISO (International Organization for Standardization) im Subcommittee ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 bei der Entwicklung eines internationalen Standards für Artificial Intelligence deutsche Positionen zu vertreten und den Sachverstand von deutschen Expert*innen einzubringen.
Prof. Zielke ist bei der ISO aktives Mitglied der Working Groups „Foundational standards”, „Trustworthiness” und „Use cases and applications”. Die halbjährigen Plenarsitzungen des ISO SC42 finden abwechselnd in verschiedenen Erdteilen statt. Für die Teilnahme an den kommenden Plenarsitzungen des SC 42 in Tokyo (2019) und in Paris (2020) sowie für die Arbeitstreffen des DIN-Ausschusses in Berlin erhielt Prof. Zielke nun eine EU-Finanzierungzusage durch StandICT.eu.
