Auf ihrem diesjährigen 70. Mosbacher Kolloquium hat die Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie (GBM) zwei Preisträgerinnen mit dem von Bayer Pharmaceuticals gesponserten Promotionspreis ausgezeichnet.
Die jeweils mit 1.500 Euro dotierten Auszeichnungen gingen an Dr. Katharina Braunger und Dr. Katharina Imkeller.
Katharina Braunger erhielt den Preis für ihre hervorragende Dissertation mit dem Titel "Cryo-EM analysis of mammalian co-translational membrane protein insertion and N-linked glycosylation", die sie an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München bei Prof. Roland Beckmann durchgeführt hat. Katharina Imkeller hat Ihre exzellente Dissertation mit dem Titel „Molecular characterization of public anti-PfCSP antibodies in human malaria“ am DKFZ in Heidelberg bei Prof. Hedda Wardemann durchgeführt.
Frau Braunger ist mittlerweile als Postdoc an der Universität Oxford in England tätig, Frau Imkeller ist Postdoc am DKFZ und am EMBL in Heidelberg.
Die Preise überreichte Prof. Franz Xaver Schmid (Bayreuth), der das Preissekretariat der GBM innehat.
